you should not get either because they are both of wretched quality. Get an Ipod Touch as it is years ahead of either of the mp3 players you selected. It is reliable and it has a warranty so if it breaks then you can send it back to the states to be replaced.

Viewsonic VPD400 MovieBook – a cheap alternative to iPod Touch
The VPD400 boasts of a 4.3-inch LCD display with HD-mark resolution (800x480). The device has an internal 8GB flash memory where you can store your data but it also has a microSD funny man destined slot (expandable up to 16GB) to satisfy your expanding needs.

The player also supports images in JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP formats.
According to Jeff Volpe, vice president and extensive manager, Viewsonic (North America), the player has been designed to be "digital content portable and user friendly."
