Guitars!!!???
i'm gonna start playing the guitar:) yay...anyway, to all those delightfully professional guitarists out there:
i'm starting with acoustic and eventually i want to also play electric cuz i absolutely LOVE both. anyway. i privation all the tips and tricks for guitar brands, quality and good price etc. equipment. important factors about acoustic and stirring. easy playing tricks. you get it right?

I found this really nice acoustic guitar. a Fender CD60 dreadnought....any adequate?
my counsel:
start with acoustic first. you get what you pay for, but i would recommend getting a starter pack from www.musiciansfriend.com they range from like 150-300 depending on what you paucity.
if you are on a budget, go to walmart, get the first act brand for like 60-90, but make sure to buy new strings (but not from wal mart)
if you get strings, i would get either lights or milieu to start.
the acoustic is a little bit harder to play, but it is not as sensitive, so sounds better while you are learning. that, and when you do go to electric guitars, it will be easier for you to pressurize the transition.
good brands include gibson, fender, squire, martin, epiphone, etc... you cant go too illicit with acoustics for starters...
to learn, it helps to either have an instructor, or someone who knows how to play to help you along. i never got formal lessons, but had a reliable friend that showed me a few things...
also, download the powertab program, just search for it, then go to www.911tabs.com to find the music you neediness to play.
play slow, then accurate before you try to play it at speed.

New building rules aim to keep Pleasure Point weird
Entertainment POINT — Katie Loggins lives in an old one-story bungalow a block from the beach where guitars, CDs and surf paraphernalia neatly pack the corners of her small home.
Over the past decade, Loggins has seen several modest homes like hers give way to larger, more new-fashioned villas, and the Santa Cruz County native fears her neighborhood is at risk of losing its small-village charm and writing off the eclectic residents who live here.
"It's incredibly disappointing when you see these big homes being built," said Loggins, whose 30th Avenue hut is across the street from a newer, much taller vacation rental. "These homes draw the population that doesn't seem to appreciate our community."
At the urging of Choice Point residents, the county Board of Supervisors last year committed to halting construction of out-of-scale homes and protecting the neighborhood's intrepid, surf-town feel. This week, planners are expected to introduce rules to honor that commitment.
