As a DJ using Serato Scratch Live, what is the best way to organize your tracks?
I'd like to be versed the best way to organize your tracks into crates using Serato Scratch Live. Is best to organize by Genre, beat type (uptempo vs. gradual)?
Depending on what genre of music and venue you spin at. If you are an open format DJ (Hip Hop, House, Mash Ups, etc.) it is great to make a few crates with a lot of music and then low it all by BPM. This way you can get in and out of songs right away while searching the same genre. If you are House/Dance DJ, you may want to organize your music by KEY because most songs are in the same BPM categorize.
Either way, whether or not you use iTunes or Crates, those should contain genres, then your sorting should more likely be KEY or BPM.
